Vogue Ukraine Showcase returns to Paris
On March 3, the Vogue Ukraine Showcase will open in Paris for the second time. The unique event for the Ukrainian fashion industry, which popularises it on the world stage, will be held in an updated format. Within the official schedule of the Fashion Week in Paris, the Vogue Ukraine team will present Ukrainian designers and artists to the international press, buyers and insiders of the fashion world. On Monday, March 4, the exhibition will be open to the general public.
This year, the second Vogue Ukraine Showcase will be held in the centre of Paris, near the Place Vendôme, with the support of the Condé Nast publishing house and the French Haute Couture Federation. It will be held in an updated format and consist of several parts. The first is an exhibition of Ukrainian brands, for which each designer prepares an exclusive image that reveals the brand's essence.
The second part is an exhibition of photos from a photo essay shot in Ukraine by a world-famous British photographer for the spring issue of Vogue Ukraine Edition. The presentation of the new edition will take place during the opening of the Vogue Ukraine Showcase.
The third part is an art project designed as a museum gift shop, where you can buy Vogue collectables and souvenir products specially designed in honour of the event, and part of the store's sales profit Vogue Ukraine will sent to the "Veteranka" fund.
"It is important for us to remind the world that Ukrainian culture, fashion and art occupy an equal place on the global map," says Venya Brykalin, editor-in-chief of Vogue Ukraine. "And where better to do this than during Paris Fashion Week? In 2022, we got a lot of positive feedback from the guests and participants of the event, and it inspired us to continue the project. Soft power diplomacy works, and our team is doing everything to make Ukraine's name sound on the world cultural scene." Guests can also expect a video message from the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who has been supporting the Ukrainian fashion industry for many years and demonstrates by her example that wearing Made in Ukraine is an honour.
The official opening of the Vogue Ukraine Showcase with the support of beauty partner MAKEUP will take place this Sunday. On Monday, March 4, the exhibition will be open to the general public.
We will remind you that in September 2022, the first Vogue Ukrainian Designers Showcase was held in Paris, which united 17 Ukrainian brands, and more than 300 guests came to meet. One of the first was Vogue US editor-in-chief and Global Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour, who actively supports the Ukrainian fashion industry. The founder of Business of Fashion, Imran Armed; the editor of British Vogue, Sarah Harris; the fashion director of American Vogue, Virginia Smith; the director of Instagram fashion collaborations in Europe, Clara Cornet; and many others also visited the space of L'ECLAIREUR 17 that evening.
