Inside Sarah Trott and Grant Fisher’s Intimate Wedding Week
Sarah Trott, travel blogger and founder of the From Here to Where, and Grant Fisher, CEO of VAI Resort, celebrated their wedding at Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, Italy. They planned the celebratory week not merely as a wedding, but as an extraordinary journey. Travel has always played a central role in their relationship, so they approached the organization through the lens of hospitality: the event had to be deeply personal, meticulously detailed, and infused with local flavor. Sarah brought her storytelling and media experience to life, while Grant contributed his expertise in entertainment and hotel development. Here is a closer look at one of the most beautiful weddings of this summer.

Arrival
Guests gathered in Ravello for a wedding week centered around the historic Villa Cimbrone, perched atop a cliff and accessible only on foot. The hotel features 19 rooms and the Michelin-starred restaurant Il Flauto di Pan, which was entirely bought out for the occasion. Restored in 1904, the estate once served as a secret hideaway for Greta Garbo and conductor Leopold Stokowski. The main ceremony was set to take place on the famous "Terrace of Infinity," which floats over 300 meters above the sea. Despite the scale of the celebration—six distinct events over four days, each with its own unique design—the couple invited just 44 of their closest guests.

Organization was handled by a concierge team. Upon arrival, guests were greeted in their rooms with personalized cards, maps, and guidebooks filled with photos and stories of how each guest met the couple. In lieu of traditional gifts, guests were invited to donate to Hope Loves Company, a foundation supporting families facing amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—a deeply personal cause for Sarah, who lost her father to the disease in 2021.
Rehearsal Dinner
On the first evening, two long tables with sweeping sea views were set beneath Villa Cimbrone’s ancient stone arches. Candelabras with flickering candles, lush greenery, handmade torn-edge paper menus, and each guest's name embroidered on the waiters' napkins created an atmosphere of refined intimacy.

Welcome Cruise
The second day kicked off with a sail along the Amalfi Coast aboard the sailboat Tortuga. Custom sails, monogrammed towels bearing "The Fishers est. 2026," live saxophone performances, a DJ set, and a lavish lunch on the private terrace of Conca del Sogno made for an unforgettable afternoon. To cap off the day, guests took an exhilarating leap into the sea straight from the yacht.

Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place on the villa’s terrace, suspended 305 meters above sea level. White blooms, lush greenery, and black metallic benches topped with cream cushions complemented the dramatic panoramic view. Sarah walked down the aisle to a string quartet wearing Netta BenShabu's Justin dress—a lace princess-silhouette gown featuring an embroidered corset and a cascading skirt. A top hat by the Ukrainian brand WONÁ Concept served as a standout accent, paying homage to the film The Parent Trap and the iconic wedding look of designer Elizabeth James. "Having a Ukrainian designer create such a personal piece made the look feel even more meaningful. I wanted to honor the strong Ukrainian women on my mother’s side who came before me, my late Baba and Aunt Roxinne, who couldn’t be there in person to celebrate with me but shaped so much of my confidence and spirit as a little girl, — Sarah added. — Working with a Ukrainian designer like Woná, and with Ukrainian professional dancers on the choreography for our first dance, was a subtle way to celebrate the heritage they passed down. My mom’s Ukrainian side of the family has always loved dancing, putting on performances at family functions, and hosting larger-than-life celebrations. As a child, I remember my Ukrainian aunts and uncles were always the loudest in the room, full of laughter and life. Connecting with that spirit through such a glamorous, fashion-forward piece felt incredibly special and made the look completely my own."

The dinner took place on the villa’s sweeping lawn beneath a massive floral installation and crystal chandeliers. Entertainment featured a 9-piece cover band, costumed performances, and a fireworks display. A major highlight was Grant’s surprise performance: the groom took the stage to belt out AC/DC's classic rock anthem Highway to Hell. Afterward, the newlyweds shared their first dance to Bobby Darin’s Beyond the Sea. The celebration wrapped up after midnight with an impromptu finale: guests in evening gowns, tuxedos, and heels jumped into the Villa Cimbrone pool alongside the bride and groom for a late-night swim.

"Standing on the Infinity Terrace after we were married, looking out over the Amalfi Coast with Grant and everyone we love around us. After a surprise rain storm that stopped just in time for the ceremony, the sunset and sky turned into a marvelous combination of pink, purple and blue, with the moon large and glowing behind us. The photos were insane. That sunset was definitely a wedding gift from my dad in Heaven. I remember thinking that somehow real life had turned out even better than the version I had imagined as a little girl", — Sarah Trott said.

S&G Cabana Club
The following day, the itinerary shifted to a more relaxed pace under the couple's custom monogrammed banner, the S&G Cabana Club. The dress code softened to pure comfort: Sarah wore a silk trousers-and-scarf set by Dolce & Gabbana over a swimsuit custom-embroidered with "Mrs. Fisher." "After days of wearing high-fashion attire, everyone needed a day to unwind," Sarah shares. "It ended up being one of our absolute favorite days of the entire week."

The Ultimate Journey
"Travel has been such a cornerstone of our relationship, and our most cherished memories always stem from feeling genuinely cared for along the way," Sarah says. "We wanted to curate everything we love about those trips and share it with the people who matter most to us. Above all, we wanted our family and friends to leave feeling like they were part of something truly extraordinary." For the couple, the wedding was never about showcasing their taste—it was an opportunity to apply their life's work for the most important audience in the world.
